PRODUCT DESIGN - Vision & Intent
Product Design at Darrick Wood School consists of an inspiring, rigorous programme of study centred around the teaching and learning of technical knowledge and practical skills in support of the design and development of different prototypes and products in a range of materials. Creative thinking, problem solving, and an understanding of the broader design process underpins all. Students consider what it means to develop user-centred products in an ever-changing technological landscape. Students learn design skills and methods and use an iterative approach to designing. Product Design has an important role to play in assisting the School to achieve its main goals and objectives of developing and maintaining a broad and balanced curriculum and ensuring the best outcomes for students enabling them to become responsible global citizens with a life-long love of learning.
